Guidelines for Law Enforcement Roles

Accepting the role of a lawman, whether as a marshal, sheriff, deputy, or any other officer of the law, places you in a unique position within our community. It's vital to remember that this role does not elevate you above other players in terms of gameplay mechanics or personal conduct. Here are key points to consider:

  • Equality and Humanity: Holding a badge makes you a character with specific duties and responsibilities, not a figure of invincibility or absolute authority. Your actions should reflect the complexities and moral ambiguities that come with wielding power.

  • Moral Flexibility and Consequences: While the server allows for a range of character behaviors, including corruption and other morally grey actions, these choices come with in-game repercussions. Engaging in illegal activities, such as robbery or murder, or abusing your power, like unjust arrests or confiscation of property, can lead to consequences driven by player response and server dynamics.

    • Example: If you exploit your position to unlawfully arrest someone and seize their assets, be prepared for the community's reaction, which could range from a formal investigation to a lynch mob seeking justice for your actions.
